Top 5: Bodycon dresses

Viimeisen parin vuoden aikana blogiani lukeneet ovat varmaan huomanneet, että pidän vartalonmyötäisistä bodycon-mekoista. Näin ei kuitenkaan ole ollut aina. Vielä muutama vuosi sitten en olisi mistään hinnasta pukeutunut kurveja korostavaan "makkarankuorimekkoon" (vaikka olin tuolloin n. 10 kg hoikempi, kuin nykyään). Pikkuhiljaa olen kuitenkin oppinut sekä hyväksymään muotoni, että vähän ihastumaan niihin. Fakta on, että vähän istuvampi vaate saa ihmisen yleensä näyttämään pienemmältä, kuin löysä teltta. Toinen fakta on, että kun tuntee olonsa kauniiksi ja seksikkääksi, myös näyttää hyvältä. Niin kliseistä kuin se onkin, itsevarmuus säteilee ulospäin. Ja kurvikas nainen voi näyttää todella upealta oikean mallisessa ja kokoisessa bodycon-mekossa!

If you have been reading my blog during the past couple of years, you will have noticed that I like bodycon dresses. However, this hasn't always been the case. A few years ago (even though I was about 10 kg smaller than these days) I never, ever would have worn anything that showed off my curves. On my (still on-going) journey to self-acceptance, I have learned to live with my curvy body - and I've also learned to love it. A bodycon dress that fits well and is the right size looks AMAZING on a plus size body. To be honest, they are often more flattering than loose-fitting dresses, which can make you look bigger (not that there's anything wrong with looking big). Most importantly, I feel confident in bodycon dresses, and although it's a bit of a cliche, confidence makes you so, so beautiful.
