Sunny Monday

Alkuviikosta kelit hellivät, eikä maanantaikaan tuntunut yhtä pahalta kuin yleensä. Ja kukkivasta omenapuusta saatiin kaunis tausta asukuville.
Kuten viime postauksessa totesin, vaikka en rakasta käsivarsiani, ei niiden paljastaminen kuumalla säällä ole minulle ongelma. Kun seisoin liikennevaloissa tässä asussa, takanani olleet kaksi teinityttöä hihittelivät jollekin. Hetkellisesti iski kauhu - nauravatko ne minun valkoisille, löllyville käsivarsilleni? Pian kuitenkin palautin elämän realiteetit mieleeni ja totesin itselleni, että tytöt varmaan nauravat ihan jollekin omalle jutulleen. Ja vaikka nauraisivatkin minulle, entä sitten? Kyllä minulla on oikeus kulkea kuumalla säällä hihattomissa paidoissa siinä missä muillakin.
Mitä tuohon toppiin tulee, se on kyllä tosi söpö. Nuo korkeavyötäröiset farkut ovat mullistaneet maailmani; ennen en olisi ikinä pitänyt näin lyhyttä toppia farkkujen kanssa. Kyllä se uusien juttujen kokeileminen kannattaa!
Koska te poistuitte viimeksi mukavuusalueeltanne?
In English: It's been really sunny and warm this week, and I've been loving it. Even Monday felt less horrible than usual because of the sunshine! So I decided the have my outfit photographed in front of the lovely blossoming apple tree.
As I said in my previous post, although I don't love my arms, I will not cover them up if it's too hot outside. Sometimes I get insecure, though. I heard some teenage girls giggling behind me on the street when I was wearing this outfit, and for a moment I thought "oh god, they're laughing at my arms". They probably didn't even notice me; I've been a teenage girl, and I remember giggling a LOT and it usually had nothing to do with other people. And even if they were laughing at me, so what? I have as much of a right to wear sleeveless tops when it's hot outside as anyone.
Now that I mentioned the top, isn't it cute? High-waist jeans have really turned my world around, because I never used to wear short tops with jeans. But I really like this look, which just goes to show that we should all try something different once in a while.
